THE BLUE TEAM EXPERIENCE:
Blue teams represent the most competitive teams within the MYSC structure. There is only ONE Blue team in each age group. Features commonly attributed to the Blue team include but are not limited to:
· The Blue team is comprised of the top players in each age group.
· The Blue team will apply for placement in the most competitive league it can qualify to participate in. This may include, but is not limited to, the Midwest Regional League and/or the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association - State League.
· The Blue team will customarily be assigned a MYSC Class III Coach or higher.
· Blue teams practice 3 times a week and participate in three highly competitive tournaments including the WYSA State Cup.
· The winter commitment practice schedule is twice per week, including optional participation in Winter League II and mandatory registration in Winter League III.
THE WHITE TEAM EXPERIENCE
There is only ONE White team in each age group. Features commonly attributed to the White team include but are not limited to:
· White teams are comprised of the next best group of players available at the age group.
· The White team will apply for placement in the most competitive league it can qualify to participate in. This may include participation in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association - State League or the MAYSA Classic League.
· If the club determines that the age group is best served by playing up an age group to attain the highest level of competition in the Classic League, it will apply accordingly.
· The White team will customarily be assigned a MYSC Class II Coach or higher.
· The White team practices 2 times a week and participate in 2 highly competitive tournaments.
· The winter commitment practice schedule is once per week, including optional participation in Winter League II and III.
THE SENIOR TEAM EXPERIENCE:
The High School team is comprised of the remaining best pool of players in the Senior Division. MYSC is prepared to form MULTIPLE High School teams. The purpose of these teams is to provide a forum for player development and competitive play. The goal still remains to put like minded and like skilled players together. It is within this context that players from a younger age group can be placed on an older team. Features commonly associated with the Senior team experience include but are not limited to:
· These teams will not necessarily attempt to maintain the integrity of a particular age group. Instead the remaining player pool will be ranked according to ability and assigned to a High School team.
· The team placement will be impacted by the age of the oldest player on the team. It is entirely possible that a mixed age group of players ranging from U15 to U18 could be placed in the U18 Classic division on the same team.
· The High School team will apply for placement in the most competitive league it can qualify to participate in.
· The High School team will customarily be assigned an MYSC Class II Coach or higher.
· Teams practice twice per week and participate in two competitive tournaments in a season.
· The winter commitment to practice is once per week, including optional participation in Winter League II and III.
