Each player must register through our online registration service provider. The placement process will be open to all players with equal consideration given to eachplayer. The MYSC Youth Staff and Administration are responsible for the placement of players onto teams. Player placement criteria includes:

  • Grade & birth-date
  • Geographical location
  • Discretion of the Youth Director and/or Technical Director of Coaching

The club may re-shuffle teams at the end of the fall or spring season, based on the following criteria:

  • League logistics
  • Age group logistics
  • Team logistics
  • Adherence to player and team development principles
  •  Discretion of the Youth Director and/or Technical Director of Coaching

All MYSC coaches will follow a curriculum from entry (age 3) to age 10, and recreational through 14.

"Games"are forums for players to apply ball skills and game awareness. We view this as an additional means of development. The concept of winning and losing a game is not stressed within these age groups.Coaches are trained and encouraged to promote soccer that:
  1. Is free flowing
  2. Is coach-guided, not coach-directed
  3. Demands that all players on the field – regardless of their specified position – participate in defending and attacking
