Brief Overview:

Welcome to the MYSC Youth Division. We are committed to providing a place for all players who are interested in playing the game of soccer. MYSC offers different program options based on a continuum of age and ability and commitment. All MYSC in house Youth Leagues are developmental.  The focus of all the leagues is to develop players in a stress free environment. 

Success is a byproduct of player development.  There is a saying that without technique there’s no tactics.  With the developmental approach the focus on improving the individual player’s technique will be emphasized because players will be in an environment that they will not have to worry about their decision making process during the match.  Young players need to get a “feel” for the game, to play instinctively. 

Young players will be allowed to show their abilities in an environment in which they will still be playing against competition without the “fear” of losing a match.  At the same time young players will learn to make decisions in a match-like setting while getting more touches on the ball, thereby improving their technical development.  If we can produce better teams in the future, then we must first produce players that are better technically.

Distinguishing Features of the MYSC Youth Division

• Coaching - MYSC has a full time Youth Division Director and Assistant.  MYSC Junior and Senior Directors and staff coach players from U8-U10 on Monday evenings
• A Technical Coaching Staff - comprised of some of the most qualified Coaching Directors in the Region, who work with the age group coaching staff to ensure that all the developmental goals of the club are achieved
• A long term player development model
• Promoting player opportunities through paid programming and free programming encourage movement within age divisions and across the senior division
• A detailed list of expectations and guidelines defining the players experience
• A comprehensive fee system detailing program expenses
• Affiliation with a Junior, Senior and Adult Divisional programming within MYSC
